Jen was newly pregnant when we did this engagement session (you could see the baby bump when she pulled her shirt tight and stuck out her belly)! Since then, they had their beautiful baby girl Chloe who I absolutely cannot wait to meet at their wedding on June 23rd. The two are technically already married and have been together since high school and are having their big wedding celebration in just one week. They’re absolutely adorable and so in love. Nate was not looking forward to this session at all. He couldn’t believe someone could spend an hour taking couple photos, but at the end I think he enjoyed himself. I mean it’s an hour of kissing and hugging your beautiful wife. What’s so wrong with that!

As many of you know, I work full-time for Simmons College producing multimedia videos, blogging, and photography. This was a faculty profile I put together on English Professor Afaa Weaver. He is a nationally known and acclaimed poet, sometimes referred to as the “black Walt Whitman.” He grew up in East Baltimore and worked in a factory during his early career while writing poetry about his struggles. It was truly an inspiration to be able to work on this video and interview him.

This wedding was so much fun to film. Everyone was so laid back, and Cassie and Jim were just so excited to be married to one another. There were lots of cute kids to film (a wedding videographer’s dream). It was tough not to make the entire highlight video of just the flower girl and ring bearer. 🙂

This is a video I produced for Simmons College last summer (2011). I traveled to LA and New York to visit with and interview some of the College’s biggest alumnae/i, and asked them why the all women’s experience got them to where they are today. NBC Chief Education Correspondent Rehema Ellis became my idol and new favorite person. I was touched to hear so many amazing stories about the College I’ve been marketing for the past two years. So much so that I’m trying to become an alum! I started the MBA program here in Jan ’12.
